We’re just a little over a month away from Red Hook Flicks’ opening day, and we’re so excited we can’t stand it. We’ve doubled-down this year on our love of the eighties and have brought you a slate of classics almost entirely from the decade of shoulder pads, spiral perms, Just Say No, and Jheri curls. That the Reagan Era bears a certain parallel to our current day seemed appropo, as well. Herewith, then, a fitting mix of comedy, bravado, and portents from the future to while away your summer nights–all accompanied by some of Red Hook’s finest food purveyors. As much as we do everything we can here at Red Hook Flicks to keep our screenings at Valentino, there are some days where the weather is just too dicey.
